Sit-in protest for justice continues on its 436th day

“Those who have made the mother wait in front of the courthouse for more than a year will be remembered with curse in the history,” the Şenyaşar family says on the 436th day of their sit-in protest.

Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, continues on its 436th day. In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse from their home in the Suruç district to hold their protest. The mother and her son give information about their sit-in protest to the people and lawyers entering the courthouse.

“Those who have made the mother (Emine Şenyaşar) wait in front of the courthouse for more than a year will be remembered with curse in the history,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account by tagging the official social media accounts of the Ministry of Justice, President Tayyip Erdoğan and Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ.
