Sit-in protest for justice continues on its 407th day

Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar have demanded justice for their killed relatives for 407 days.

Riha - The sit-in protest, also known as “Justice Watch”, started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has continued on its 407th day. In the morning, the Şenyaşar family came in front of the courthouse to hold their protest.

“Three members of our family were murdered at a state hospital. Our seeking for justice in front of the courthouse sufficiently shows the reckless character of authority and power. Our sit-in protest in front of the courthouse against the dysfunctional justice system continues on its 407th day,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
