Riha- The sit-in protest staged by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 148th day. The Şenyaşar family members went in front of the Urfa Courthouse to hold their protest.
The family members held a placard reading, “A mother has held a sit-in protest in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse demanding justice for 148 days. Her husband and two sons were killed at the hospital. No lawsuit has been opened because a member of parliament was involved in the massacre.”
The tweet posted by the family draws attention to the recent wildfires across Turkey and the protests of farmers against Dicle Electricity Distribution Company (DEDAŞ). “Forests are on fire across Turkey. Farmers from all over Turkey are protesting because of the economic problems they have faced. People shout out for justice across Turkey. Justice is essential for a state. Why do the authorities keep silent… The cruelty at the courthouse continues,” says the tweet.
