News Center – Arrest campaigns and security summonses against Baha'i citizens in Iran continue, amid a notable expansion of raids targeting their homes and personal property, in a context described as an escalation against members of the Baha'i community.

Intelligence apparatus forces in Shiraz raided the homes of Nazanin Nikouseresht and her husband Baghman Zare, Mina Zare, Mahshid Zare, Mahboubeh Zare, and Barham Zare — five sisters.

During the search operations, the forces confiscated mobile phones, computers, books and images related to the Baha'i faith, alongside personal documents, passports, identity cards, external hard drives, jewelry, and sums of cash. They also searched a warehouse belonging to Barham Zare's workplace and proceeded to confiscate its cameras.

The confiscation also included, from the homes of Nazanin Nikouseresht and Baghman Zare, documents related to Baghman Zare's legal proceedings, in addition to a forensic medical report. After the search ended, Nazanin Nikouseresht, Mina, Mahshid, Mahboubeh, and Barham Zare were summoned to appear before the detention center of the Intelligence Department in Shiraz, known as "Black 100."

It is worth noting that Baghman Zare had been arrested by officers of the Intelligence Department in Shiraz, subjected to interrogation, and informed of the charges against him, before being released on financial bail from the central prison "Adel Abad." During the recent search, documents related to his legal proceedings in that case were confiscated.
