Sarina Jahani temporarily released from Evin prison
Sarina Jahani, a political prisoner in Iran, has been released from Evin prison for four days on bail.
News Center- Sarina Jahani, who was sentenced to two years in prison on charges of “assembly and collusion against national security”, was released from Evin prison for four days on bail on Monday.
Sarina Jahani was arrested on September 16, 2023, on the anniversary of the nationwide uprising that sparked across Iran following the killing of Jina Mahsa Amini in the custody by Iran’s so-called “morality police” on September 16, 2022.
Iranian security forces arrested her in Shahriar and transferred her to Qarchak Prison in Varamin. She was then transferred to Evin Prison, and temporarily released on bail on November 4,2023.
However, she was arrested again on February 6,2024, after the Revolutionary Court of Shahriar sentenced her to two years in prison on charges of “assembly and collusion to act against national security”. She was transferred to Evin prison again to serve her prison term.
