Sakineh Parvaneh starts hunger strike to protest executions in Iran

Kurdish political activist Sakineh Parvaneh has started a hunger strike in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad to protest the executions of four Kurdish political prisoners.

News Center- Kurdish political activist Sakineh Parvaneh reportedly started a three-day hunger strike in Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad on Tuesday to protest the executions of four Kurdish political prisoners.

On Monday, Iran executed four Kurdish political prisoners identified as Mohsen Mazloum, Mohammad Faramarzi, Vafa Azarbar, and Pejman Fatehi.

Kurdish political prisoner Sakineh Parvaneh was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad. In April 2023, she was arrested after attending the grave of Ali Mozafari, one of the martyrs of the revolutionary uprising of Jin, Jiyan, and Azadi in the city of Quchan  and was transferred to the IRGC intelligence detention center of this city. She was finally transferred to Vakil Abad prison in Mashhad after twelve days of detention.

She has been serving her prison sentence since April 2023.
