News Center- Racist attacks that began in Kayseri after a Syrian national was accused of sexually harassing a girl spread to many cities of Türkiye last night.

Adana

Syrian shopkeepers closed their shutters in the Kocavezir and Mirzaçelebi neighborhood of Adana’s Seyhan district. A group of motorcyclists holding Turkish flags tried to enter the neighborhoods; however, police did not allow their entry. The group chanted the “We do not want Syrians” slogan.

Hatay

A group of people attacked the shops belonging to Syrians at Çarşamba Market located in Hatay’s Reyhanlı last evening. Syrians closed their shutters and went to their homes. However, a group of people gathered in front of the Reyhanlı Municipality at around 9 p.m. Holding Turkish flags and chanting racist slogans, they set the shops on fire. Police blocked all roads leading to the municipality.

The racist attacks that erupted in Reyhanlı spread to Hatay’s Kırıkhan district.

Riha (Urfa)

A group of racist attacked the shops belonging to Syrians in the Kaniya Xezalan (Akçakale) district of Riha.

Konya

A group of people attacked a shop belonging to Syrians in the Sakarya neighborhood of Konya.

Dîlok (Antep)

A group of people held a march in the city of Dîlok by holding Turkish flags and chanting “Allahu Ekber”. They attacked a car belonging to a Syrian and marched to a neighborhood, where Syrians live.

Istanbul

A group of people took to the streets in Istanbul and chanted anti-Syrians slogans.

Bursa

Police intervened as a group of people gathered in the Çarşamba neighborhood of Bursa, where Syrians live.
