Protest of Emine Şenyaşar enters its 11th day

“What an unjust and treacherous state this is. What did my sons do?” asked Emine Şenyaşar on the 11th day of her protest in front of the Turkish Parliamentary Speaker’s Office in Ankara.

Ankara- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of former AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç (Kurdish: Pirsûs) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, has been demanding justice in front of the Turkish Parliamentary Speaker’s Office in Ankara for 11 days.

 Emine Şenyaşar, who has held a sit-in protest in front of the Turkish Parliamentary Speaker’s Office, says she will continue to hold her protest until she meets with President Tayyip Erdoğan. Demanding the release of her son Fadıl Şenyaşar, who has been behind bars in Elazığ prison, Emine Şenyaşar said, “I have been here for days although I underwent a surgery. I can't bear this persecution anymore. What an unjust and treacherous state this is. What did my sons do?”
