Protest in Tell Tamer against attacks in Shengal

People of Tell Tamer protested the attacks carried out by the Iraqi government in Shengal.

Hasakah- Citizens living in the town of Tell Tamer, western Hasakah, issued a statement to condemn the attacks carried out by the Iraqi government in Shengal. Members of NGOs, the Martyrs' Families Committee, and Kongra Star attended the protest.

Meryem Mihemed read the statement on behalf of the citizens. “Occupation, attack, and plunder continue in the region from all parts. While the territories of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region are being occupied, Shengal is being attacked by the Iraqi government. Yazidis, who have faced many genocidal attacks, are left alone against a new genocidal attack.  We condemn the ongoing attacks against Shengal,” the statement says.

After the statement was read, the citizens shouted the “Long live the resistance of Shengal” slogan.
