Protest for justice enters its 113th day: 8th prosecutor appointed!
The prosecutor of the investigation into the killing of three members of the Şenyaşar family has been changed again. The eighth prosecutor has been appointed to the investigation case. Ferit Şenyaşar criticized the appointment with the following words, “We live under persecution through judgment.”
Riha – The sit-in protest staged by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in an attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız, and Ferit Şenyaşar has entered its 113th day today. The Şenyaşar family came in front of the Urfa courthouse to hold their sit-in protest.
The prosecutor changed
Stating that there is no process about justice even if 113 days have passed, Ferit Şenyaşar pointed out that the prosecutor of the investigation case has been changed again. “Today, we wanted to enter the courthouse to talk with the prosecutor about some procedures. However, the security forces didn’t allow us to enter. We are told we have been barred from entering the courthouse. This ban is a crime against us. We just demand justice. We live under persecution through judgment.”
The family’s lawyer Bülent Duran told us a new prosecutor has been appointed to the investigation case. The new prosecutor is the eighth prosecutor of the investigation case.
“You will also need justice”
The Şenyaşar family posted a tweet today and wrote, “Judges and prosecutors who destroy justice, see the laws as prison shackles, and act according to orders; One day you will also need justice… Everyone knows very well that an organized massacre was carried out at the hospital. We just demand JUSTICE…”
