News Center- Layan Darvish, a 40-year-old mother from Gilan Province and political prisoner held in Evin prison, was released on medical parole on Monday.

On February 21, 2024, Layan Darvish was arrested and transferred to the women’s ward of Evin prison to serve her five-year prison sentence on charges of “assembly and collusion against national security,” “insulting the Supreme Leader,” and “propaganda against the regime.”

Layan Darvish’s request for conditional release was approved in March 2025. She suffers from a severe kidney and bladder infection and needs urgent medical treatment.
