Shengal- The people of Shengal issued a press statement in front of the Ezdixan Asayish Headquarters located in the Sinun district of Shengal to protest the attacks of the Iraqi forces on Shengal. Kine Xidir, a member of the Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ), read the statement on behalf of the citizens. Emphasizing that they, as Yazidis, will struggle to the end in order to protect their achievements, Kine Xidir said, “Today, we are with our security forces. The Iraqi government asks us to leave our achievements gained by the blood of our martyrs and to accept slavery. We, as the mothers and citizens of Shengal, will struggle against them to the end.”

“We will protect our beliefs”

Noting that they will keep struggling for their rights, Kine Xidir said, “We will do our best for Autonomous Shengal. If we leave our Asayish forces, YBŞ and YJŞ forces, the Iraqi army will not defend us. For this reason, we will support our children. We will protect our children, our mountains, our beliefs, and our culture. We will stand against those who want to destroy our society, our beliefs,s, and our culture. We, as the citizens of Shengal, We will not allow any force to attack our children. We will struggle against betrayal and dirty plans to the end.”
