No response to demand for justice for 157 days
The Şenyaşar family has held a sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 157 days. The family hasn’t received any response to their demand until now. Emine Şenyaşar reacted to that situation, “Does being a Member of Parliament means you have the right to kill people at the hospital?”
Riha- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar and her sons, Celal Şenyaşar and Adil Şenyaşar, were killed on June 14, 2018, in an attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, have held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse demanding justice for 157 days.
On the 157th day of their protest, Emine Şenyaşar and Ferit Şenyaşar went in front of the courthouse to hold their protest.
Emine Şenyaşar recalled that three of her family members were killed at the Suruç State Hospital, “They put my other son in prison but the killers are free. Does being a Member of Parliament means you have the right to kill people at the hospital? I am sick and have no power. They should release my son.”
