News Center- On Monday, the Iranian authorities released environmental activist Niloufar Bayani from Evin prison as part of a mass amnesty approved by Iran's leadership to commemorate the observance of Eid al-Fitr (the end of Ramadan).

Niloufar Bayani was arrested along with a number of environmental activists, including Sepideh Kashani, Houman Jokar, and Taher Ghadirian in 2018 on charges of espionage. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison in January 2019.
