Newaya Jin: They have become the light of truth

“They have become the light of truth,” says the headline of the 234th issue of Newaya Jin, a monthly women's newspaper published in Europe, indicating journalists Gulistan Tara and Hêro Behadîn, who were killed in Sulaymaniyah.

 ‘Gulê of her people will never be forgotten’

The article written by Gulistan Tara’s colleague Özgür Serhad says, “We all called her Gulê. She was Gulê of the garden of comradery. Our Gulê had a heart of gold. She risked burning in the fire for the sake of truth but she never took a step back. A naive, loving, modest and resistant woman taught us something. Therefore, we will adhere to the truth that Gulê pursued. We will keep telling the truth. Gulê of her comrades, Gulê of Kurdistan, Gulê of her people will never be forgotten.”

Abdullah Öcalan’s observations

The article titled, “They want to complete the conspiracy in Bashur” includes the observations of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan. “The cooperation with the South (Southern Kurdistan or Kurdistan Region of Iraq) aims to weaken and end the Kurdish struggle in Northern Kurdistan. This is the essence of the conspiracy. But will this British plan work? No, it will not because the Kurds now demand freedom,” says the article.
