Narges Mohammadi sentenced to one additional year in prison
Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Narges Mohammadi has been sentenced to one additional year in prison on charges of “propaganda against the state”.
News Center- Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian human rights activist and Nobel laureate, has been sentenced to one year in prison, her lawyer Mustafa Nili announced Tuesday on social platform X.
“Based on the verdict issued by Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, Narges Mohammadi has been sentenced to one year in prison for propaganda against the regime,” said Mustafa Nili.
52-year-old Narges Mohammadi, who has been held in prison since November 2021, has been repeatedly convicted and imprisoned over the past 25 years for defying compulsory veiling laws and the death penalties.
