The Democratic Women's Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa (NADA) has published a written statement, calling on all human rights organizations to take a stand against the death sentence handed down to Warisha Moradi.
News Center- The Democratic Women’s Alliance in the Middle East and North Africa (NADA) has published a written statement, condemning the death sentence handed down to activist Warisha Moradi.
“Since the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi uprising took place in Iran two years ago, the attitude of the mullah regime of Iran against women has become even more brutal,” said the statement. “Women are arrested, tortured and executed for allegedly not covering their hair.”
Emphasizing that 831 people, including Warisha Moradi, have been sentenced to death in Iran in 2024, the statement said, “We call on all feminist and human rights organizations in North Africa, the Middle East and all around the world to support Warisha Moradi and to take a stand against the oppressive Iranian government.”
