Mothers demand their children’s dead bodies for 100 days
For 100 days, the mothers of Rojava have demanded the Federal Kurdistan Regional government to give their children’s dead bodies to them.

Qamishlo- The mothers of Rojava, whose children lost their lives in the Federal Kurdistan Region, have held a tent protest at the Semalka Border Crossing demanding the Federal Kurdistan Regional government give their children’s dead bodies to them. “Samalka Border Crossing should be opened”
“Our demand hasn’t been met yet although our tent protest has entered its 100th day,” Îman Mehmûd said that the Samalka Border Crossing has been closed due to political reasons. “Our demand for taking back the dead bodies of our children shouldn’t be used for political issues. It has been 100 days. We just demand the Kurdistan Regional government give us our children’s bodies.
“Press outlets don’t tell the truth”
Cîhan Umer is one of the mothers demanding their children’s dead bodies. “The KDP and its press outlets don’t tell the truth. Our demand is to take the bodies of our martyrs. We are not the enemy of Southern Kurdistan, we are siblings, and we don’t want a civil war. Kurds shouldn’t harm Kurds. Our protest continues until we take our children’s bodies,” she told us.
“This tent is a tent of honor. It is the resistance tent of the mothers of honorable children. Armenian, Kurdish, Arab, Turkmen, we live together in this region and we should take action together to take our children’s bodies. Demanding our children’s bodies back is a fundamental right for every mother. We want to bury our children,” said Hîro İbrahim, who is originally Armenian.
