Tell Tamer — In Tell Tamer, in the Jazira Canton, where ISIS and the Turkish occupation have carried out attacks for fourteen years, and which is now facing attacks by jihadists of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, the Kurdish people continue to rise up and confront aerial bombardment, ground assaults, and internal attacks with resistance.

On the frontlines, fighters defend the land and the people, while mothers and sisters take on the responsibility of preparing food for them, considering it a national duty and a moral debt toward those who sacrifice their lives.

Rojava, a child who bears the name of the revolution since its beginning, had her school closed due to the attacks. Today, she stands beside her mother in the kitchen preparing food for the fighters. “We prepare food to strengthen our fighters so they can continue defending us. One of my brothers is a fighter, and another is a martyr. We will support them and give them strength until victory,” she said.

Samira al-Hassan, a member of the Economic Committee of Kongra Star, said, “We may not be able to be on the frontlines, but we are fulfilling our duty. Preparing food for the fighters is a way of protecting our culture and ensuring they do not remain hungry, but strong.” She noted that her sister Hira is fighting within the ranks of the Women’s Protection Units and expressed hope that the food reaches her or any of her comrades, emphasizing that all fighters are brothers and sisters in this battle.

She added, “Today everyone is answering the call for general mobilization—from fighters on the frontlines to mothers in their homes. Every individual plays a role in protecting the land and the people. Mothers give their families strength and patience, proving that resistance is not only with weapons, but also with the bread offered to fighters.”

Tell Tamer’s Kitchens at the Heart of the Battle

Jinar Youssef stated that Tell Tamer faced ISIS attacks in 2015 and is now confronting new attacks by jihadists. “Just as we endured then, we will endure now. We trust our people and our fighters. We prepare food so fighters do not remain hungry and can continue defending the land.”

After the food is prepared, it is distributed to fighters on the frontlines. Fighter Jaker from Tell Tamer expressed his gratitude, saying, “We were happy to learn that an eleven-year-old girl is helping her mother prepare food for us. This is a covenant between us and the mothers, children, and the people. We will remain loyal to their trust and continue fighting until victory
