The death toll of the 7 magnitude earthquake has risen to 2,960, government spokesperson Mustapha Baitas told journalists on Wednesday. He also said that work in the fields continues.
Moroccan authorities had previously announced that the death toll was 2,946 and the number of injuries was 6,125. The Moroccan Royal Court also announced that at least 50,000 houses collapsed completely or partially in the earthquake.
