Meral Danış Beştaş transferred to Ankara for treatment

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Group deputy chair Meral Danış Beştaş, who was injured in a car accident last night, has been reportedly transferred to Ankara for treatment.

News Center- Last night, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Group deputy chair Meral Danış Beştaş had a car accident in the Qereyazi (Turkish: Karayazı) district of Erzurum, where she went as part of the election campaign.

Being trapped inside the car, Meral Danış Beştaş was rescued by firefighters. After the accident, Meral Danış Beştaş, her driver Mehmet Vefa, HDP member Mehtap Demirkaya and another HDP member, whose identity is still unknown, were taken to the Erzurum City Hospital for treatment.

According to the received reports, Meral Danış Beştaş has been transferred to Ankara for treatment. She is expected to undergo an operation tomorrow. The reports also say that she is not in a critical condition.
