Members of TAJÊ to act as human shields against attacks

The Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) has announced that they will act as human shields against the attacks by drawing attention to the partnership between Turkey and KDP forces.

News Center- The Yazidi Free Women's Movement (TAJÊ) has issued a statement about the attacks of the Iraqi forces on Shengal on April 18, 2022.

The TAJÊ recalls in the statement that the Iraqi and KDP forces left the Yazidis unprotected during the genocidal attacks of ISIS that began on August 3, 2014. Noting that an agreement was signed against the will of the people of Shengal on October 9, 2019, the TAJÊ states in the statement that the aim of the attacks is to put this plan (agreement) into effect.

The statement also underlines that the forces affiliated with the Baghdad government attacked the Êzîdxan Asayish in the village of Digurê on April 18. “This attack was carried out simultaneously with the Turkish attacks on the Media Defense Zones. These attacks weren’t a coincidence. The aim of the occupying Turkish state is to divide the lands of Kurdistan and Iraq. But unfortunately, the KDP forces help Turkey to divide the lands. As the TAJÊ, Yazidi mothers, we will act as human shields against the efforts to annihilate our people,” the statement says.
