Semsûr (Adıyaman)- The two major earthquakes that struck Turkey, Kurdistan and Syria on February 6, 2022 have killed and injured thousands of people. All people criticize the AKP government for the late search and rescue efforts. 12-year-old Hiranur Tümsavaş trapped under rubble after the first earthquake. She was pulled out from the rubble alive by volunteers on the first day of the earthquake. She was taken to a hospital by a white car. She has been missing since then.

Her family members gave a DNA sample to find her

Hiranur’s aunt Funda Öznacar searched for her niece everywhere but they have not been able to find her. Funda Öznacar told NuJINHA that they gave a DNA sample yesterday to find Hiranur. In an interview with NuJINHA, Funda Öznacar said they could not find Hiranur at any hospital and they were concerned her niece may be taken by some sects.

No response from the Menzil sect!

Local people say the missing children were given to religious sects. Everyone knows that there are many children in the tent city built by the Menzil sect. The Menzil sect has not released any statement about the allegations yet.

About 30,000 people lost their lives

According to informal reports, the death toll in the city is about 30,000. The local people say the death toll may increase.

She is granted widow’s pension for her alive spouse

Due to the ongoing chaos in the city, no one knows who is dead, who is alive, who is missing. Before NuJINHA reported that 4,000 people were recorded dead in the city although they are alive. Due to the wrong records, people wait in front of the Provincial Directorate of Population and Civil Registry to change the incorrect records. We met a woman waiting in front of the provincial directorate. She told us she was granted a widow's pension although her spouse is alive. She was waiting there to report that her spouse was alive.
