News Center- Turkish police conducted dawn house raids in Istanbul. Many women, including the members of the Peace Mothers’ Initiative, were taken into custody. The detained women have been reportedly transferred to the Provincial Police Headquarters in Istanbul.

 The names of some detained women are: Activists Kumri Akgül and Gülsüm Öztürk; Peace Mothers’ Initiative members Fatma Yılmaz and Bedia Gökguz; Dilek Başalan, president of the Women's Time Association (Turkish: Kadın Zamanı Derneği); Beser Çelik, member of the People’s Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Women’s Council, Vetha Bingöl and Suna Kaymaz, members of the Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA); Selcan Saygı, former Co-chair of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) in Yüksekova; Dilan Suyu and Zehra Suyu, members of the Mesopotamia Cultural Center (MKM); Sıhat Yılmaz, Şükran Tugay, Gönül Kahraman and Yusuf Açar.
