A man named Harun S. was detained after attacking and raping a transwoman named Asel Oktay. He has been released.

News Center- On Tuesday, a man named Harun S. raped a transwoman named Asel Oktay in the Şişli district of Istanbul by threatening her with a gun. Harun S. was detained by police after Asel managed to run away and call the police. 

He was sent to Istanbul 2nd Criminal Court of Peace after being questioned at the police station. The court has released him under judicial control and banned him from traveling abroad.
