Samir Balakıshıyev has faced up to five years in prison for threatening a woman on social media.

News Center- Samir Balakıshıyev wrote, “Your end will be like Özgecan” to Hacer K. on social media and threatened her with death on February 13. Samir Balakıshıyev was arrested and an investigation has been opened against him.

In the indictment prepared against him, up to five years prison sentence has been demanded for Samir Balakıshıyev on charges of “threatening with a weapon”. The man will be tried by the Istanbul Criminal Court of First Instance.

The university student Özgecan Aslan was stabbed and beaten to death on a minibus as she traveled home in Mersin province of Turkey in 2015.
