Man attacks woman with knife, waits for her to die

A woman named E.O. was attacked with a knife by her ex-husband in Istanbul. The man waited for her to die.

A man named K.E. attacked his ex-wife, divorced three years ago, with a knife in Istanbul’s Küçükçekmece suburb. After the attack, he waited for her to die. The perpetrator threw the knife upon the reaction of the people around. The man was taken into custody by the police.

The murder attempt took place at around 07:30 in the morning in the Sultan Murat neighborhood of Küçükçekmece. K.E. attacked E.O. with a knife from behind when he saw she was walking alone. The attacker continued to attack E.O. after she fell down on the ground. He seriously wounded her and waited for her to die. The people around reacted to the man when the women cried for help. The people forcibly took the knife from K.E. and called the police. The wounded woman was taken to hospital. K.E. run away from the scene but he was caught and detained in a short time.
