Leyla Qereh Man becomes new co-chair of Syrian Democratic Council
Leyla Qereh Man and Mehmud Deham Ebduleziz have been elected as the new co-chairs of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC).
News Center- The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) held its 4th Congress yesterday with the participation of 400 delegates. Leyla Qereh Man and Mehmud Deham Ebduleziz have been elected as the new co-chairs of the SDC.
Leyla Qereh Man was born in Afrin in 1980. Following the revolution in Rojava, she was involved in political activities. She is one of the founders of the Jineology Research Centers in Afrin and Aleppo. Then, she went to Lebanon to carry out political activities as a representative of Kongra Star. In 2020, she became a member of the Future Syria Party and served as the party's deputy president.
Mehmûd Deham Ebdulezîz was born in Hasakah in 1974. He has a master's degree in international relations and an expert in Middle East politics. He worked as a research associate at Ohio University and Oberlin College in the USA. In 2014, he was arrested by the Syrian government on charges of “being a member of an illegal political organization.”
