Landslide in eastern Afghanistan kills at least 25 people

A landslide caused by heavy snowfall has killed at least 25 people in the Nuristan province of Afghanistan.

News Center- On Sunday night, a landslide triggered by heavy snowfall buried more than two dozen houses in the Tatin Dara area of Norgaram district late Sunday night, Nuristan Province in eastern Afghanistan.

The landslide has killed at least 25 people and injured at least eight people, Samiulhaq Haqbayan, the Taliban-appointed director of information and culture in Nuristan province, said on Monday.

The rescue and search efforts for people trapped under the buried houses continue.
