Kurdish woman abducted near Deir Hafer, taken to unknown location

The Deir Hafer road in Aleppo has recently seen multiple abductions targeting civilians and truck drivers, amid escalating violations and absence of legal accountability or official statements from authorities.

News Center – Amid ongoing violations committed by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants against Kurdish civilians, a Kurdish girl from Kobani was abducted while traveling to Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood to visit relatives.
On the morning of Saturday, September 13, 19-year-old Haifa Adel Tayyar was kidnapped while en route from Kobani to Aleppo to visit her relatives residing in Sheikh Maqsoud. As she passed through the Deir Hafer road, a group affiliated with HTS intercepted her and took her to an unknown location. Her family has called on the authorities to take action and reveal the fate of their abducted daughter.
This incident constitutes kidnapping and intimidation, violating Articles 3 and 8 of the Aleppo Agreement, signed between the General Council of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods and the committee representing the Syrian Interim Government. Article 8 explicitly guarantees residents’ freedom of movement and forbids pursuing anyone not proven to be involved in the killing of Syrians before the agreement’s signing. Article 3 obliges the Ministry of Interior, in coordination with internal security forces, to protect residents of the neighborhoods and ensure they are not subjected to any form of attack.
