Kadir Şeker to be tried again

The prison sentence given to Kadir Şeker for killing a man named Özgür Duran while he was trying to prevent him from inflicting violence against a woman has been overturned.
News Center- Kadir Şeker will be tried again after the prison sentence against him has been overturned.
Kadir Şeker tried to prevent a man named Özgür Duran from inflicting violence against a woman in a park in Konya province of Turkey. But they began to fight and Kadir Şeker killed the man in self-defense and he was arrested. The court sentenced him to 12 years and six months in prison. The file was sent to the Regional Courts of Justice in Konya for final judgment order.
The regional court found some “procedural” deficiencies in the file and sent the file to the court had given the prison sentence and overturned the prison sentence. The regional court decided one of the deficiencies in the file is the petition presented by the We Will Stop Femicide Platform. Kadir Şeker will be tried again.
