‘Jineology catches women’s attention all over the world’

“Jineology catches women’s attention all over the world,” said Nayrouz Muslim, an academic at the Al-Sharq University in Raqqa, talking about the second conference of the Jineology Academy held in Hasakah.

Hasakah- The Jineology Academy of North and East Syria held its second conference in the city of Hasakah, Jazira Canton of North and East Syria, between September 25-26 with the motto, “Women's Wisdom is Updated by Jineology”. Nayrouz Muslim, an academic at the Al-Sharq University in Raqqa, was one of the women attending the conference.

‘We can gain knowledge on every subject through education’

Nayrouz Muslim thinks that Jineology, women’s science, should be discussed by all organizations. “Wars and all forms of violence, including online violence, target women in many ways. Women should know themselves well, communicate with women’s organizations and academies and receive education in order to protect themselves from violence. Education play an important role for women in improving themselves. As women, we can gain knowledge on every subject and learn what is going on all around the world through education.”

‘Co-presidential system began to be implemented following the revolution’

Jineology proposed by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan has been implemented since the Revolution in Rojava that started in 2012 with the leadership of women, Nayrouz Muslim stressed. “Co-presidential system began to be implemented following the revolution. Now, women participate in all facets of life. Women, who embrace the thoughts and philosophy of leader Abdullah Öcalan, play an active role in many fields such as economy, military and politics in North and East Syria.”

‘Many women from different countries have visited the region’

Women all around the world consider Jineology important, Nayrouz Muslim said. “There is great interest in this science and many women and international press outlets were present at the conference. Many women from different countries have visited the region to learn more about the revolution led by women. Women of Jineology Academy in North and East Syria strengthen their relations with women in other countries and participate in online and international women’s meetings. For three years, women from our region have travelled to other countries to share their experiences.”

‘We will be ourselves through the ‘Jin,Jiyan,Azadî’ philosophy’

Nayrouz Muslim believes that peaceful revolutions are the way to change. “Revolutions are the ways to build a better future and a new world. If we realize the ‘Jin, Jiyan, Azadi’ philosophy developed by leader Abdullah Öcalan, we will be ourselves and reveal women’s roles in history.”
