Israel’s attacks on Gaza enter their 126th day

The Israeli army keeps launching airstrikes targeting civilians in neighborhoods of Gaza city and the city of Rafah.

News Center- Israel’s attacks on Gaza have entered their 26th day. According to the latest statement released by the Gaza’s health ministry, nearly 28,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 67,000 have been injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023.

 Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Friday that Israeli airstrikes targeted civilian houses in multiple neighborhoods of Gaza City, specifically in Al-Rimal, Al-Sabra, Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, and Sheikh Ajleen and in the city of Rafah, killing and injuring dozens.

“Eight civilians, including women and children, were killed in an Israeli missile strike targeting the homes of the Sayyid and Al-Nahhal families in the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip,” the news agency said.

Several civilians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike which targeted a house in Deir Al-Balah, the news agency reported.

Israeli airstrike targeted a kindergarten

According to local sources, at least four civilians were killed and many were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a kindergarten sheltering displaced people in the town of Al-Zawaida.

‘We need an immediate humanitarian ceasefire’

“Half of Gaza’s population is now crammed into Rafah with nowhere to go,” UN Secretary General António Guterres wrote on X. “Reports that the Israeli military intends to focus next on Rafah are alarming. Such an action would exponentially increase what is already a humanitarian nightmare with untold regional consequences. We need an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.And we need the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.”
