Iraqi actress Salima Khudair, who was born in Basra, has died at the age of 79, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate announced on Tuesday morning.

Born in Basra, a port city in southern Iraq, Salima Khudair’s career in cinema and theatre started in the late 1950s.
She was the sister of Iraqi singer Amal Khudair. She acted in many films such as “The Experiment” and “The Heroes' Fever” and series such as “Scorpio” and “The Big House”.
