News Center- Women and human rights activists in Iran continue to face terror-related charges, torture, arrest, detention, abduction, flogging, and fines. Women’s rights activist and social researcher Nooshin Keshavarznia has been reportedly released after being held in custody for two weeks.

The activist was arrested in Tehran on April 25 and transferred to an unidentified location by Iranian security forces. Before the arrest, she had been summoned by an unknown security institution. The reason for her arrest is still unknown.

Nooshin Keshavarznia is a women’s rights activist and social researcher recently focusing on the issues related to harassment and violence against women.
