News Center-  The Coordination Council of Iranian Teachers' Trade Associations announced on Tuesday that Liela Salimi, a Kurdish teacher and teacher union activist in Sanandaj having a 32-year experience, was suspended from teaching for two months by the Administrative Violations Committee of Iran’s Ministry of Education.

The Kurdish teacher has been suspended from teaching for her activities as a teacher union activist  and being a member of the Kurdistan Teachers' Association, according to the council.

“Demanding legal rights and being a member of a union are fundamental and legitimate rights of teachers,” the council said in a statement.
