News Center - The Mardin Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation against Jinnews reporter Öznur Değer allegedly for “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” due to her social media posts.

The investigation has been reportedly launched against her for tweeting the photos she took during the congress of the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) that held at the Nazım Hikmet Congress and Art Center on February 27 and Newroz celebration held in the Erciş district of Van province on March 21, 2022. The journalist, who testified at the Police Special Operations Department of the Kızıltepe District Police Department, was also asked about the photo of Arin Mirkan, who fought ISIS, posted by her on her social media account.

In her testimony, journalist Öznur Değer stated that she used her right of freedom of expression and her social media posts do not constitute any crime.
