Indictment prepared against KJAR member Verishe Moradi

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network has announced that an indictment has been prepared against Verishe Moradi, a member of the East Kurdistan Free Women’s Society (KJAR), on charges of “acting against national security”.

News Center- Verishe Moradi, a women’s rights defender and member of the East Kurdistan Free Women Society (KJAR) was arrested and taken to an unknown location by the members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Sanandaj on August 1, 2023. After 70 days, her family learned that she was held in a detention center in Sanandaj and had been subjected to torture. She was then transferred to Evin prison in Tehran.

 The Kurdistan Human Rights Network announced on Sunday that an indictment was prepared against Verishe Moradi on charges of “acting against national security” after more than six months. “Several weeks ago, an indictment was prepared against political prisoner Verishe Moradi on charges of ‘acting against national security’ for being a member of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK). The indictment was sent to Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court,” said the statement released by the network.
