Female detainees in Iranian prisons continue to be deprived of basic human rights, including access to medical treatment, putting their lives in danger.

Human rights violations against Kurdish women in Iran are escalating, with political prisoner Zeynab Jalalian being denied her right to medical care despite her deteriorating health. According to the "Voice of Kurdish and Iranian Observers" website, her condition is critical and life-threatening.

Reports indicate that Zeynab Jalalian was returned to prison only 24 hours after undergoing surgery, without completing treatment or receiving necessary medical care. Her health continues to decline due to medical neglect, lack of food, and absence of essential medications, posing a serious risk to her life.

Born in 1982 in Maku, near Urmia in Eastern Kurdistan, Zeynab Jalalian was arrested in 2007 in Kermanshah without a judicial order. On February 25 of the same year, the court initially sentenced her to death, but the appellate court later commuted the sentence to life imprisonment.
