Ilham Ahmed Takes Part in Istanbul International Conference on Peace and Democratic Society.
On the first day of the International Conference on Peace and Democratic Society in Istanbul, Ilham Ahmed will present an address on the peace process and efforts to build a democratic society.
News Center – The “International Conference on Peace and Democratic Society” will provide an important opportunity for the international arena to become acquainted with and shed light on the ideas and views of leader Abdullah Öcalan, amid the great interest this issue has received.
The Party of Equality and Democracy of Peoples (DEM) will hold the “International Conference on Peace and Democratic Society” in Istanbul on December 6–7. The conference will discuss the path of peace and democratic society launched by leader Abdullah Öcalan on February 7, in addition to international experiences.
The international conference is expected to be attended by numerous figures from the Basque Country to Africa, and from Kazakhstan to Belgium, with the participation of Sinn Féin from Ireland as well.
Over the course of two days, the conference will discuss conflict resolution experiences, steps toward democratic transformation, and the potential form of a new social contract. In addition to the speakers, international participants and journalists have been invited to attend.
Ilham Ahmed, Co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, will be among the main speakers on the first day of the conference, which will be held tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, at the Cem Karaca Conference Hall. Ilham Ahmed will participate via phone and deliver the opening speech.

The participation of other speakers has also been confirmed, including Amina Zakri, former Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region and representative of Kurdistan Democratic Party leader Masoud Barzani, as well as Kurdish MP and member of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, Narin Nadrova.
