House made of cardboard by children in Pazarcık
Many buildings and houses collapsed and were damaged when two major earthquakes shook 10 cities in Turkey. In Pazarcık, children, who have no house anymore, built a house made of cardboard.
Mereş – In the Pazarcık district of Maraş, the center of the two major earthquakes on February 6, 2023, many buildings and houses have collapsed or been damaged. The people living in the district have not been able to enter their damaged houses for nine days. In the district, almost all buildings and houses are damaged so people take shelter in tents or in the solidarity house built by the Crisis Coordination. Hundreds of earthquake victims, including children, and volunteers stay at this house. The children staying at the solidarity house built their house made of cardboard. The children also painted flowers and birds on their house made of cardboard.
