News Center- Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid on Tuesday ratified a law officially recognizing Halabja as Iraq’s 19th province. After the law is published in the Official Gazette on May 5, 2025, Halabja will officially become Iraq’s 19th province.

On April 14, 2025, the Iraqi parliament passed a bill in a session, formally recognizing Halabja as a province.
