Gülistan Şaylemez was killed by her brother Abdullah Şaylemez. Her body was reportedly taken by her mother and buried yesterday in Diyarbakır’s Yeniköy Cemetery.

News Center- Gülistan Şaylemez was killed by her brother Abdullah Şaylemez in Diyarbakır province on February 15. Abdullah Şaylemez was arrested after killing his sister. Dead body of Gülistan Şaylemez was kept in morgue for three days. Gülistan moved to Germany after getting married. She was divorced one year later due to the problems with her husband, say reports. After her divorce, she was threatened and subjected to violence by her family male members. She returned to Diyarbakır several months ago. She filed a criminal complaint against her father and her relative Adil S. due to threats she received 10 days before she was killed.

The dead body of Gülistan Şaylemez was kept in the morgue of the Selahaddin Eyyübi State Hospital for three days. Her mother came from Germany to take her daughter’s body. Her body was reportedly taken by her mother and buried yesterday in Diyarbakır’s Yeniköy Cemetery.
