News Center- Fereshteh Souri and her husband Ali Jahanian have each been sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Nahavand on charges of “propaganda against the regime”.

 According to local sources, the couple was convicted of “propaganda against the regime” in late January 2025; but the verdict was communicated to them on March 10, 2025.

On September 9, 2024, Fereshteh Souri and Ali Jahanian were arrested at their home in Nahavand. Fereshteh Souri was released on bail after several hours of interrogation. On September 11, she was rearrested and transferred to Malayer Prison.

On November 11, 2024, Fereshteh Souri and Ali Jahanian were released on bail.
