News Center- The final hearing of the trial opened against Salih Dayan for sexually abusing his three daughters when they were very young has been held today.

Salih Dayan, who was released by the court pending a trial, didn’t attend the hearing while three sisters and their lawyers attended the hearing. Their lawyers demanded Salih Dayan be punished for sexually abusing his three daughters. But Salih Dayan has been acquitted by the court.

After the final hearing, women’s organizations made a statement and protested the verdict.

What had happened?

 H.G. (34), S.D. (30) and S.D. (28) filed a criminal complaint against their father Salih Dayan claiming that their father sexually abused them for years when they were children. Salih Dayan was detained but he was released by the court pending a trial. On July 14, 2020, he was arrested again on abuse charges by the Mersin 3^rd High Criminal Court. On September 16, 2020, he was released again by the court pending a trial.
