Thousands of Twitter users demanded Hasan Tunçlar to be arrested using the hashtag “#HasanTunçlarTutuklansın”. Upon the increasing reactions on Twitter, Hasan Tunçlar has been detained in İzmir by police. The child has been taken under protection by the İzmir Provincial Directorate of Family, Labor and Social Services.
