Fatemeh Noradi, Hassan Bagherinia arrested in Mashhad
Fatemeh Noradi and her husband Hassan Bagherinia, former faculty member at Iran’s Hakim Sabzevari University, were arrested in Iran’s Mashhad city on Thursday.

News Center- Fatemeh Noradi and her husband Hassan Bagherinia, former faculty member at Iran’s Hakim Sabzevari University, were arrested in a house raid conducted by Iran’s security forces on their home in Mashhad on Thursday.
According to local sources, Iran’s security forces searched their home, confiscating their mobile phones, laptops, and other electronic devices.
Fatemeh Noradi and her husband were taken to an unknown location and the charges against them are still unknown.
Hassan Bagherinia was previously arrested on June 3, 2024 and then released on bail from Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. He was sentenced to 10 years and nine months in prison in March 2025 on charges of “forming and leading a group with the intent to disrupt national security”, “insulting the Supreme Leader” and “assembly and collusion to commit crimes against national security.”
