News Center- Today, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar were among the speakers of the Democracy Conference held at Dr. Kadir Topbaş Culture and Art Center in Istanbul.

Emine Şenyaşar, who lost her husband and two sons in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the suruç district of Urfa province just before the general elections held in Turkey on June 28, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, made a speech at the conference.

Emine Şenyaşar spoke in Kurdish and told the people who participated in the conference how they have struggled for justice for 108 days. Emine Şenyaşar said that one of her sons was killed in their shop while her husband and other son were killed at Suruç State Hospital. Stating that the records of the surveillance cameras at the hospital were destroyed during the attack, Emine Şenyaşar said that one of her sons has been held in prison while the killers are free.

“All I demand is justice”

The speech of Emine Şenyaşar is as follows:

“What did we do? They are brutal people. Erdoğan made Halil İbrahim Yıldız a member of the parliament. Doesn’t he know that he is a usurer, thief, and killer? They destroyed my family. I have no power to resist anymore. I cannot stay at home. I go in front of the courthouse in the morning and return home in the evening. All I demand is justice. They should release my son held in prison. We are left alone in our struggle. We ask everyone to support our struggle for justice.

After the speech of Emine Şenyaşar, people shouted the “Justice for Şenyaşar family” slogan.
