Riha -Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız in Suruç district of Urfa province just before the general elections held in Turkey on June 24, 2018, has held a protest with her son Ferit Şenyaşar demanding justice for 56 days. Before the full lockdown (between April 29 and May 17), the Şenyaşar family held their sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse. Now, they have continued to hold their protest at home.
The Şenyaşar family posted a photo on their Twitter account and said, “The person who killed two persons in our workplace is İbrahim Yıldız, the nephew of the MP. An arrest warrant was issued for him but he has walked freely for three years. Does the nephew of the MP have immunity? Where is justice?”
