Emine Şenyaşar’s protest enters its 35th days
Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed and one son is behind bars, has held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse for 35 days. “I will not leave her,” said Emine Şenyaşar emphasizing that the killers are free.
Riha - The relatives and bodyguards of AKP MP Ibrahim Halil Yıldız attacked the Şenyaşar family members’ shop and wounded several of them. After the wounded members were taken to the hospital, they attacked the hospital and killed Emine Şenyaşar’s husband Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar, her sons Adil and Celal Şenyaşar. She has held a sit-in protest in front of Urfa Courthouse with her son Ferit Şenyaşar for 35 days demanding justice for her relatives.

The Şenyaşar family posted a tweet and said, “Our struggle for ‘justice’ continues on the 35th days in front of Şanlıurfa Courthouse. Today, we call on Family, Labour, and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk. There is a mother (whose husband and two sons were killed) who has been waiting in front of the courthouse for 35 days. We want her to use several sentences about this mother.”
“I will not leave her”
“They killed three persons from my family but there is no verdict against none of them. Those who killed my children freely walk around. I will not leave here. Let them kill me, too. They should arrest those who carried out this massacre. They killed my children in the hospital.”
